New Live-Dealer Gaming Table Rules Introduced in Macau

The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau regulator institute initiated new standards or rules governing the running of live-dealer games at their online casinos. This will, of course, affect all of the 40 odd casinos found throughout the city. These changes are bound to filter down and eventually be felt by Australians whose favourite online casino is based or regulated in Macau.
According to investigations by GGRAsia, the new definition for live-dealer casino games is a device which cannot be operated without substantial human interaction, and where players are given the opportunity to choose which game they want to play from a number of given games.

These new regulations don’t place limits on the number or type of game offered through live-dealers. The only requirement is that the gaming table must have been approved by a Macau accredited testing facility, before being allowed onto the casino floor.
GGRAsia mentioned how even though a live-dealer game is operated by a dealer who spins the wheel or deals the cards, the more traditional aspects such as placing bets, are dealt with by the computers. It has been argued that these electronic versions are more popular as the game speeds are higher which in turn increases the yield per seat for the casinos.

Revenues Jump as Live-Dealer Games Gain in Popularity

Revenues for live-dealer games have increased from AU$118m for 2012 to just over AU$151m in the first nine months of 2017. Casinos are said to prefer these electronic table games as one dealer can manage a group of up to sixty players as opposed to nine allowed on traditional live-dealer tables.
Part of the new regulations stipulates that all electronic live-dealer casino games must offer the same probabilities of winning as their more traditional machines. Moreover, it has been stated that any messages appearing on screen must be written in Chinese and English.
The final regulation worth noting is that there is now no limit to the number of games a player can enjoy simultaneously, on an electronic live-dealer casino game. The regulation just stipulates that there should be enough supervision in place to ensure the live-dealer game is fair, secure, reliable and auditable.
